The Foodie Collection
I've long admired the allotments by my home in Kent. I love watching the hard working owners create such beauty from the mud. It feels so similar to how I make my ceramics.
I wanted to create this collection with the idea of coming together after a hard long day with locally grown produce on the table, enjoyed off tableware that celebrates it.
Satisfying and fulfilling.
The collection is a mixture of my inspiration from these allotments and my experiences in Italy, which have strongly inspired this recent collection of food-inspired platters. I lived in Bologna years ago which captivated me in an instant, and travel back to different parts whenever the opportunity arises.
The romantic Tuscan countryside with its olive trees, vineyards and many sunflowers which are illuminated by the fiery sunsets every evening. The historic, medieval towns and cities with their hand-painted designs, warm terracotta tones and decorative surprises around every corner. I find so much beauty and inspiration here and hope to transfer it onto my ceramics for others to experience just a small piece that brings them joy.
